Meet Liza Naumann, MS, CCC-SLP

A native of Cranston, RI, Liza graduated from St. Mary Academy-Bay View before completing her undergraduate studies at Providence College and Rhode Island College. She went on to earn her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Rhode Island. Liza is a licensed Speech Therapist and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Throughout her 30 years of service Liza has worked to perfect her craft in several environments. Her primary focus has been home care as she believes that patients thrive and show the most improvement when receiving services in the comfort of their own home. Over the years Liza has worked for VNA of Rhode Island, Visiting Nurse of Hope Health, Cedars Home Health and Saint Elizabeth Home Care.

In addition to home care Liza has provided compassionate, results-driven care across a wide range of eldercare settings, including assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities throughout Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.

Over the years Liza has seen a change in the industry and the care these institutions provide for their patients. Care, compassion and practicality have been replaced by profit driven goals and insurance limitations. By branching out on her own Liza hopes to return to the compassionate, quality care she prides herself on providing.

In fact, Liza hopes to grow her services beyond Speech and extend into general Senior Care services. Throughout her years of homecare she’s often gone above and beyond what was required of her, whether it be taking a patient’s pet to a vet appointment because the patient was homebound or acting as an advocate for a patient and their family to insure they were receiving the services they were entitled to. Liza hopes to continue to work in a capacity that will not only allow seniors to remain in their own homes but to thrive there.
